As the cities continues to urbanize, challenges of fecal waste management in dense urban areas continues to grow. RSS develops the low cost technologies to enable safe and affordable fecal waste collection services for the world’s poorest urban households.
The Problem
Majority of households are not connected to Sewers in rapidly urbanizing areas. Instead, people rely on septic tanks and pit latrines which fill fast and are emptied unhygienically by manual emptiers. Royal Sanitation Solutions is a solution to cleaning up rapidly growing cities and empowering communities with waste management solutions that are safe for workers, communities, and the environment.
